Crested Modern School by LUFOC
LUFOC is a an abbreviation of the word Lukenke Fountain of charity. Lukenke is a small village found in Buesa Parish, Lawenge Sub country in Kalungu District. This village contains around 600 homesteads whereby 70 Percent are peasants with small houses made of four rooms and at least have half acre of land where they grow food of their survival of a seasonal basis. This village is divided in three local divisions that is to say A, B and C. The school is located in Lukenke A at a hill which gives you the panoramic view of the entire village. While on the hill you can view the beauty of green environment composed of bananas, coffee, Jack fruit, Eucalyptus, Bark cloth, Mango trees among others.
After experiencing a problem of increasing number of uneducated young kids in the village and around its neighboring villages, the family of one of the natives of the village came up with the idea of starting a collection center for kids who can not make it to travel long distances such that they can also have a chance of getting education.
